Manawa

Last night we had another long-horn calf born. The mother is called Aroha (meaning 'love' as she has a heart shape on her head). My niece named the calf Manawa, which means 'heart'. This isn't a very clear photo as it was taken from afar as mum is extremely protective. We are thrilled that she has some lovely markings on her, as the other ones so far have not had so many spots.

It may not be very clear but it sure is delightful! Mum is keeping a close eye on you and I would be wary of those horns.
