Brook's Homestead by dide

Brook's Homestead

This homestead, surrounded by fog, is at a Regional Park around 30 minutes from our place. Some years ago, my nephew was married on the verandah on a lovely summer's day. Needless to say, there were no sheep in the paddock that day, and we prettied the area up with all sorts of potted plants etc and made it look like there was a cottage garden along the edge of the small deck.
Looks very moody in the fog.. and I can imagine it would look lovely on a summers day with flowers all around... fav

Love this dismal and lonely look at this place! But its nice and clear and one can visualise the decoration that went on on that summer's day! fav

@maggiemae @hermann @sgtpepper @julzmaioro Thanks - it was just as well it wasn't sunny, as it has just had a shiny new roof and would've made the image too bright!

A lovely old house. Sound like it was an amazing venue for a photo shoot. A lot of my old family photos show wedding parties on the verandah.

Is this on the Awhitu Peninsular? I think we camped here a couple of Easters ago!

What a beautiful building! We don't really have anything like this style of architecture in the UK, so that makes it even more interesting.
Another atmospheric capture, I can almost feel the droplets of moisture suspended in the air.
