Ayrshire cattle by dide

Ayrshire cattle

These lovely young stock are our neighbours replacement heifers. They are on the farm that used to belong to mum and dad, who also had an ayrshire herd many years ago. I went into the paddock to get some images, as they have such lovely faces. What a difficult job - they were so tame and inquisitive that they followed me around, licking the camera lens hood and trying to eat my teeshirt.
So here's a set of images for you Jennifer and Alaister!
made me think straight up of a vegetarian restaurant here called 20,000 cows ;)

I see some hearts on a couple of foreheads. We once had an Angus cross that had a very pronounced heart on his forehead. Lovely collection of faces!
