This is our son, Jesse, at a woodchopping and sawing event. It was a trial for a NZ team to compete overseas in a STIHL event. He didn't make the team, but did ok against very stiff opposition.
@kiwichick no he was very philosophical and knew that the others were more deserving. He was by far the slightest built and sometimes a bit of weight helps! He tries to put on weight but doesn't happen - how many people have that problem?
Too true! But that's good that he was okay with it. There was a woodchopping display at one of the Festivals here a few weeks ago and it made me think of him and wonder if he was overseas again.
What a shame he didn't quite make it this time Dianne. But I still think he's very impressive in his chosen sport. As for weight, I'm the opposite, try to take some off, doesn't happen.
Wood- chopping all time favourite thing to watch at the shows. Did I see something on the news this week that Australia are world champions in wood chopping?
Impressive action images each beautifully captured and presented in a collage format Dianne, don't know about stiff opposition, I would be stiff as a board for days after attempting any one of these activities:)
Great collage, sorry he didn't make the team. Maybe next time. I wish he lived closer to me. Our woodpile really needs attention and David's back is buggered at the moment.
