This was taken one week ago - A lovely evening at Hamilton's Gap - with lots of people out enjoying the beautiful light.
Our son Chad came back last night from a three week Outward Bound course. He brought me back a lovely book filled with quotes - so here's one I particularly liked.
'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.'
Haida Indian saying
That is one of my favourite quotes and has been credited to many people.... Native American Proverb, Wendell Berry, Chief Seattle, Moses Henry Cass, Dennis J. Hall, Helen Caldicott, Lester Brown, David R. Brower, Taghi Farvar to name a few. I have searched and searched for the origin of it because I wanted to use it in a paper I wrote for an Environmental Law project. No matter who said it I think it is something we all need to remember. It fits this image perfectly and would be amazing as wall art with this photo.
I've heard that quote before from other sources, but wherever it comes from it's something worth heeding. Love your beautiful sunset shot, so peaceful with people having a pleasant time.
