Woodchopping by dide

Woodchopping

Jesse (in the dark tee) chopping at the carnival in Waiuku this weekend. It is a great sport, requiring technique, strength and determination. Most events are started using a handicap system, with the novice starting on three seconds, and the more capable axemen starting later. Sometimes the back markers don't start until 30-40 seconds have gone by! Woodchopping is a great sport where young compete against old, big against small. There is such great support and camaraderie between all the competitors.
You have captured the power and strength required for this sport perfectly Dianne:)

I’m sure your Jesse is one of the much later starters. This is a great capture of him.
