This is the lake that my mum and @julzmaioro 's dad used to walk to with the other kids from school. They would walk over a km up a gravel road and have their school swimming lessons. No changing rooms - boys one way and girls the other!
Also of interest in this shot are the three lines of hedge. These are bamboo hedges - they were planted probably around 1950's. The original hedges all flowered about 30 years later, then died. Where they are still fenced, they have now regenerated.
