From left to right - Rebecca, Jesse and Chad. Tomorrow Jesse is competing in a race from the west coast to the east coast of the South Island. In the photo he is showing his support crew exactly how he would like the gear laid out at the kayak transition and is holding up his kayak splash skirt. Jesse is entered in the two day race to complete the 243 km event. The race is a mix of biking, kayaking and running over a mountain pass and he has been training hard for the past year. Chad and Rebecca are his support crew and have to ensure the correct gear is ready for him at each transition - (a job we don’t want to do). Our job is to pitch tents and feed them… Rebecca is a physio so that’s a great plus.
