Rangitoto Island

Rangitoto is a real Auckland icon and can be seen from many different areas of the city. The interesting part is that because of its volcanic history, it seems the same shape from whichever angle you view it from. This was our view from Omana Regional Park where we were staying on the weekend.
Nice shot. So true!! Have you been over. It’s been years since I was there . Kinda special have a volcano in the harbour… so long as it stays dormant 😬

@brigette Yes we've been there lots, but not recently. A good winter place to visit when the heat coming off the scoria isn’t so overwhelming.
