The Rooster's Corner

Another neat place for some of our residents is a place called Rooster's Corner. We have residents who used to be master wood crafters. They had an old building which was recently demolished because of housing expansion so they built a brand new building which opened in October. The place is filled with some very nice quality built wood products. I think it's great that these residents are able to continue with a hobby like this that provides them with such purpose.

@Weezilou Absolutely agree with you. One of the worst things that can happen as people get older and move into "senior housing", assisted living, lose their sight, etc. is their inability to continue with interests they have always enjoyed.

When I clicked on this picture, after seeing your garden one, I just couldn't believe my eyes. that's really something. never ever had I heard of a Retirement home offering so much and caring for their residents in such a wonderful way. the building has style and looks fabulous. yes, they should've a picture of it hanging close to the reception are for the residents and guests to see.
