Cycle of Life by digitalrn

Cycle of Life

It has been a rough year so far. Back in January my Aunt passed away unexpectedly. She lived a full life but it is still hard to say good-bye. Then in March one of my co-workers passed away. She was diagnosed about 2 years ago with Stage Four Colon Cancer and though she fought a tough battle, she finally decided it was enough. She was only 46. It was a very difficult service to attend. She left behind a Husband, a Son who will graduate in May, and a Daughter who is in her Junior year in college. Such a young life to lose. Then this past Friday we learned that my Uncle was diagnosed with advanced Pancreatic Cancer. He is now on Hospice. Still in good spirits but the kids are struggling. We never know what lies ahead so it is so important to live life to the fullest and savor every moment.
A tough year indeed, sorry to hear all that. The picture is lovely, looks like a water colour.

This has really been a rough year for you - really sorry to hear that. I do like the way you composed this shot and it goes so well with what you wrote. That last sentence I should have pasted on my wall to remind myself. Thanks for the nudge and hoping for happier days ahead for you.

It sounds like things have been a challenge for you this year. A lesson to remember that there are no guarantees.

This is a terrific photo to accompany your narrative and I like the way you have processed it

I don't really think we grasp how quickly things can change until we get into our later decades in life. I am so sorry for your losses and what you face in the coming weeks. I know you are a man of faith so I believe you will find strength in that and in your family. Your picture is a beautiful illustration of what you wrote- so many of us can agree!
