Wow! Thank you for sharing this link! We've been to Lake Erie quite a few times as it is only a few hours from our home, but we've never seen it like this. I had no idea that this occurred on that beautiful lake. Absolutely amazing photos!
@janetb - I am glad you liked it Janet! I live an hour and a half south of Erie and have visited the Lake many times but never witnessed anything like this. Welcome to the Project!
Those are wonderful pictures. It's hard to tell the size of those waves. I heard once that Erie has the largest waves of all the great lakes because it's the shallowest.
@francoise - I am glad you enjoyed them Francoise! You may be right about the wave size. I have heard that about other shallow bodies of water. I saw in the article that the average depth of Erie is only 62 feet with the deepest part being only 210 feet.
@amandal - I was thinking today that last year people were flocking to Lake Erie because it was completely frozen over. I don't think that going to happen this year. Not that I am complaining!
