what has become of me...?

February 13th, 2013
Its 6:47 AM, am still in bed and have just found myself googling "words that contain 'ash'" as am already thinking about todays challenge. Last week we were nearly late for school as I was caught up getting the shot. Yesterday while everyone was tucking into pancakes I was looking at angles and alternative images. I'm only 45 days in... and my life has changed!
February 13th, 2013
hahaha....yep, its a syndrome. Welcome :) !!!!
February 13th, 2013
Welcome to the club! It's 2:07am here. I'm browsing for ideas. ;) I think I have a plan. If not, there are always the dogs....lol

You ain't alone sista! Add checking the colour of the sky, shape of clouds, the light on the nearby mountain range, eying people in the street wondering if I would have the courage to stand in a street with my camera and tripod! Endless distractions to everyday life :)

I'm only 30 days in and looking at my little world through new eyes! I haven't tried any of the word of the day challenges yet as I'm still doing ok with day to day life - but it's going to be my fall back if I get stuck - your photos are great, now following x
February 13th, 2013
Start putting off visitors now before they see you have let your house become a dump
February 13th, 2013
44 days in and I am waking up in the night thinking about the next days shot!! 365 has definitely changed my life as I have to get my shot before I do anything else. Housework? What's that!!

Jo
I buy things I don't really need so I can use them in photo shots, some times I feel like a student at school with homework (as with the monthly challenges) - its addictive!!
February 13th, 2013
Hahaha. You're certainly perfect for the project! Hang in there, the family will conform in the end :-)
February 13th, 2013
Welcome to the life if 365.
Wait until your kids start bringing stuff home for you to photograph too.
Or you are walking through the supermarket and they start staying look mum that's a good shot !
February 13th, 2013
My camera is now like a third arm!!! My husband is becoming used slowly to his mad wife sitting for hours on end looking at 365 and everything photography!!! And yes I still look at 365 before I go to sleep and again when I wake up!!! :) now .... Ash.... Where's that bag of it gone from the log burner !!!!!!!
February 13th, 2013
Hilarious... Been here since December and husband still not used to it... He Came home and saw a plate of sliced tomatoes and basil the other day and started to ask whether it was for dinner, before realising his obvious error... Was for the camera setting challenge, because I thought the combo of red and green would be interesting!!
February 13th, 2013
Yep, I've got the disease as well. It won't be much longer and I will be able to photograph the dust which seems to be appearing everywhere! AND I've only been doing this project from the start of this year.
February 13th, 2013
it starts to wear of a liitle bit after 3 years...but not much...and inch of dust in the house is acceptable right??
February 13th, 2013
'Tis called obsession - welcome to the 365 world - hehe!
February 13th, 2013
I'm in year three. it only gets worse.
February 13th, 2013
Good to know I am not alone in my obsession. I have been trying to give my self limits like not getting on 365 until I have fed all the animals. Which reminds me......I better get out there!
February 13th, 2013
@joluise Is this the time to admit I bought the wife some red roses "for valentines day" when secretly I thought they'd look awesome in macro with water drops sprayed on them???
February 13th, 2013
It happens to the best of us.

Nia
Haha, you've got the bug! BTW no medicines or cures know, may be followed by stiff right finger requiring massage from significant other after a long day of looking at the world through a small viewfinder in search of that daily shot to upload!
Welcome and enjoy the obsession.

Oh man, how true all this. I started a month ago and now I haven't been able to post or view and comment on anything since last Friday. Have been feeling guilty and anxious about it, but have been trying to shoot something daily so I can catch up. How quickly we........ Hope to start my catch up later today. : )
February 13th, 2013
Know the feeling!!! And not sure it gets any easier ; ) And @vokesy your comment so made me SMILE!!!!
February 13th, 2013
I'm afraid of running out of ideas...and money.

My camera came with two lenses and a case - all you need. Until you need a tripod, ND filter, darker ND filter, UV filter, remote control, bokeh kit that is on the way

and now I want a macro lens

I'd buy it and convince myself it will make me happy but I'll just want something else eventually.
February 13th, 2013
Welcome to the phenomenon that is 365!
February 13th, 2013
I'm only 46 days in and I feel the same way!!!!!!! It's nice that I have the support of my family they ask daily what is my picture, they like to help title them. My camera is a permeant fixture it goes every where I go. A big part is the community on 365 everyone is so supportive, kind, and encouraging.
February 13th, 2013
I relate to all these comments...totally addictive. Makes me smile to know I'm not alone. What a great community!
February 13th, 2013
LOL Justine. 365 can sure grab you. Happened to me, too. I'm in my 3rd year now and keep thinking of taking a break but keep hanging in there.

@monika64 @mandyj92 @kazlamont @jubu @gigiz @pamknowler @joluise @mastermek @sewsharyn @andrina @gillg @merpics @sparkle @boogie @lisabell @bristolrose @vokesy @gphelps5 @sianipops @foxsparrow @yonnie @aponi @grammyn @mrsvanpatten @taffy

Aw...am soooo glad I posted this this morning! Having read through, laughed at, verbally said "yes, that's me" and smiled throughout I feel like I've had some therapy! Think we're all totally bonkers in a wonderful way - am so glad I started the project and so relieved that it's not just me it's affected! What a brilliant place to be and community to be part of. Thanks for taking the time to comment and to those who are now following me as a result...hello! Now, what's tomorrows theme...?! :_)

ps in case you're remotely interested, this was the result of my google search this morning... words containing ash / ashes... bashful lashes x

February 13th, 2013
Beautiful and clever use of those words.!
February 13th, 2013
@mittens ...stay...I love your photos!
February 13th, 2013
@bristolrose Thank you! :-)
February 13th, 2013
Well done
February 13th, 2013
@justine_x Thank you so much Justine.
February 13th, 2013
@sparkle LOL Juliette. I little dust never hurt anyone. :)
February 13th, 2013
Yep clever!
February 13th, 2013
Yeah, tell me about it! Yesterday, my pancakes got cold since i was so busy photographing them. My whole world has become a photo opp!
February 13th, 2013
also I'm no longer happy with my carry everywhere camera because I'm so used to the control with my other camera

I'm so buying a bridge camera to carry around with the justification that the husband can use it when we're on hikes and the like. He likes taking pictures with my camera but only uses is in auto mode, waste really now that I know the difference.
February 13th, 2013
Gets very addicitve!!!
February 13th, 2013
@aponi I think I have read somewhere on here there is a syndrome that we may develop to do with constantly wanting to buy new and improved equipment!! I know I have the early symptoms ;-) Lol !!
February 13th, 2013
@justine_x @jubu @foxsparrow @taffy @mrsvanpatten @bristolrose @merpics @gillg @pamknowler
Hi I'm Bruni and I started this program January 2010..yes I'm addicted but can't quit as 365 has become part of my life from day one . I can guarantee you' will feel the same way soon. may I welcome you to this phenomenal program.
February 13th, 2013
@bruni Hi Bruni, thank you!! Had hoped the initial obsession would tail off a little - but if you have been here for three years, perhaps not??! Am also hoping that the time to take a reasonable shot will diminish with practice!!
February 13th, 2013
Well said. And from what I can tell it will never be the same again.
February 14th, 2013
Boy, i'm right there with you!
My house is in desperate need of dusting and general cleaning. Well, I have relatives coming to visit near the end of the month so I absolutely HAVE to take some time off from 365 to make my house presentable. LOL!
It truly is an addiction and I don't know of a cure...not sure I want to be cured. ;-)
February 14th, 2013
@justine_x Totally agree with you. A chance reading in the paper on New Years Day about the 365 project found me signed in and shooting! I've taken more photos this year than the last ten and have just ordered a new camera. Even the last two days bedridden hasn't stopped me! Hope you continue to enjoy yourself and have fun.
