Hello everybody. I post this topic every week at around the same time, and it's an opportunity to post your favourite photo from the previous week. So, what is your favourite photo from between 15-21 Jan?
You can post your favourite photo by copying and pasting the code from the 'Share' box that's in your photo page, together with info on when it was taken. Part of the challenge is only selecting ONE picture, so no cheating!
@nellycious
"one of 365's more discerning personalities" ?..... now THAT`s a huge compliment, coming from you! I am still light-years away from being as good as you and many others are!!
I was presently surprised with the outcome of this (although I was very happy with my moon shot) Plus it made it to the popular list. So excited about that!!!
I can't choose! So I wont lol. These two were my favorites for different reasons but I loved them both so much that they will be displayed in my home now :)
This is my favorite this week. It shows the funny little side of my youngest, Chloe Belle. She is so curious about everything and mimics what we do and say on daily basis. Here, she is trying to be like her daddy:
I'm just taking some first steps in learning to process images. I may also be biased about the subject, my granddaughter. :o) Overall I'm pleased with how this turned out.
your pictures are all incredible. here's mine. i only have a P&S and this is straight off the camera. i took this on saturday, 15th january at the end of the day which was snowy and cold.
Not the most inspired week so far. It is now exactly 4 weeks before we leave Dubai (after 4 years) to return back to Australia for our 6+ month holiday. So getting quite excited.
Am trying to capture more images of Dubai before I leave. This was taken from apt roof-top.
TODAY! :D
I've been sick, all those days, and the 15th was my MAGFest photos (which can be found here), but I beat my sickness and had my cosplay shoot with my friend.
More can be found here as I post them up throughout the week:
I just love the way this came out. This is an old cosmetic box with what I think is a great print. The contrast of something so vintage as the ring against the modern print really made this photo pure eye candy for me.
I have spiders all over my house and garden. I don't believe in killing the spiders or destroying the webs. This one took my fancy one evening when I was at a loss as to what to photograph.
My favorite...and a lot of other's as well! Thank you so so much for all of the kind words on this shot, everyone. It was a truly magical day in an amazing place!
I don't feel like my photos compare much to the awesome photos by everyone else but in the spirit of getting involved here goes. This one was taken 18 January and are my sons cars that I keep tripping on. Haha.
A hard decision this time, but I think it's this one:
It's been kinda challenging: When I saw that the floods made our little river look like this huge "lake", I drove home to grab my camera. When I came back to the scenery, I realized I had the wrong lens on the cam. Instead of my wide angle lens, it was one with a focal length of 60mm - annoying, but I had to make the most of it. In the process, I had to think more about the right angle, or the composition than I probably would have done with my wide angle lens - so maybe the result isn't that bad after all.
Joe calls me by name even though he was with someone else his message was clear. I could hear him calling my name without making a sound. Joe + Me = a perfect morning.
This was so much fun! I also love the energy of this photo. Most of all, I learned so much this week about flying objects. This was my first attempt on my project.
Funny how the very unplanned, quickie shots can generate the best results. This one is my fave of the week because it was so last-minute, but I was very pleased with how it turned out.
this is my favorite. my friend and i took an impromptu trip to the beach randomly, we wrote in the sand right before we came home. i took it on the 21st with my LG camera phone
this is my favourite - when i look at this beautiful face i find its hard to beleive she is mine and it makes me realise how lucky i am to have her ,though every day is a worry with her she has type 1 diabetes.
@vikdaddy Whenever I come back to this topic to check the new photos posted, I am so happy to get to see your beautiful photo each time. What an amazing photo capture.
It's definitely one of the simplest ones I've done this week, and technique-wise it's not anything special, but there's just something about this shot that I really like.
I didn't really know which one to choose, I don't think I got any exceptional shots this week.. I chose this one because it's my son and he's my favorite person in the world. ♥
This is really hard for me! I can't make a choice! I have two favorites, one of sparkling drops and one of a sunset...
I think I go with the sunset because it' was more surprising to me and it got the most fav's ... I had a great week! No I go for the sparkles instead, this one has more fav's now.
I had a couple of favourites this week but chose this one, I love the detail, it really is as she describes an "Old Bee". Fabulous picture that almost gave the bee a human quality. LOVELY.
i took this photo of "gordie" on the 20th ... and i'm quite enjoying playing with b&w and deciding which way looks best and when to do it and when not to etc etc :))
This one wasn't a very hard choice for me, given these two adorable kids are my kids. I LOVE everything about this photo, the vintage look, the colors, the story it tells.
My camera was broken and i had to use some fillers, i LOVED all the pics i chose as fillers but this is my gorgeous little girl.. how could i go past it.
Might not be the BEST for the week but it's my fave
I like this one of my baby girl, although I was a little unnerved at how it seems to show a hint of the teenager she's going to be one day. (She's only 17 months old right now.)
This is a baby Major Mitchell Cockatoo which we are hand rearing. I thought it would be nice to post a photo each week or two, until he has grown into the gorgeous bird that he will become.
It was hard to pick on this week since there were a few I loved, but this one is probably my favorite. First self portrait of me this year. I need to work on self portraits because I always have a hard time with them.
I had a few photos this week that I really enjoyed, but this turned out really well! Yes, a bit overdone, but I was proud of myself for being able to capture it!
I LOVED this picture at the beach.... :) I had two I really liked, but I was proud for capturingg the beach picture, especially with the time of day it was! ;)
My first attempt of a water drop
Tha'ts a very nice photo. I can see what you chose it. I like the perspective and such a pretty girl!
from the day when I had ZERO inspiration

I think this is it.
Taken on the 15(:
Taken on the 19th
Coming from someone as talented at you...I'm truly flattered!! Thank you :)
I was presently surprised with the outcome of this (although I was very happy with my moon shot) Plus it made it to the popular list. So excited about that!!!
but i was suprised how this one came out so... its the pick!
Gotta go with today's picture. Day #4 of my iPhone Hipstamatic app week.
Am trying to capture more images of Dubai before I leave. This was taken from apt roof-top.

I'm pretty happy with most of my photos this week, but this one really stands out.
Here's my Fav for the week:
I just love this, especially like the dusting of snow caught falling in mid air.
I have spiders all over my house and garden. I don't believe in killing the spiders or destroying the webs. This one took my fancy one evening when I was at a loss as to what to photograph.
I like the railroad crossing night picture on the 20th. The crossing guards with the dashed and solid lines made by the lights is my favorite part.
this one i think
1st HDR attempt
Although it's super blurry, it makes me crack up each time I look at it.
but ill go with last nights rush job (21st)
Happy the way it turned out :)
two choices before us don't be afraid
leave the past behind
the long road lies ahead
close your eyes, forget the fear
leave the past behind"
Fates Warning- Leave the Past Behind
Here's mine:
without a shadow of doubt, taken on my birthday with an awesome response from all you lovely 365'ers!
For me it's that one I think :)
This was easily my favorite for the week!
Good old Monty!
I really love how this came out. It has a magical quality; it is as if the girls are floating upward like angels.
It's been kinda challenging: When I saw that the floods made our little river look like this huge "lake", I drove home to grab my camera. When I came back to the scenery, I realized I had the wrong lens on the cam. Instead of my wide angle lens, it was one with a focal length of 60mm - annoying, but I had to make the most of it. my creepy tree
Joe calls me by name even though he was with someone else his message was clear. I could hear him calling my name without making a sound. Joe + Me = a perfect morning.
Taken on the 18th. I like the emotion of it, the voyeuristic quality and the feeling of a story right off scree.
From the 20th. I just like the way the colors came out.
I love this picture. I've taken pictures of this lamp before but never in b&w. It was taken on the 19th.
Probably this one, but I love sunsets and sunrises, so fleeting!
this has to be my fav - it is a significant event that I am leading up to! whilst doing my 365 project
this is my favorite. my friend and i took an impromptu trip to the beach randomly, we wrote in the sand right before we came home. i took it on the 21st with my LG camera phone
this is my favourite - when i look at this beautiful face i find its hard to beleive she is mine and it makes me realise how lucky i am to have her ,though every day is a worry with her she has type 1 diabetes.
This one for me!
my favorite by far!! i can never get cool snow pictures but i liked this one!
Very cute - brought a big smile to my face. Nice photo.
love my city!
I took this on the Thursday, January 20. Love the body language of the workers.
i really like this!
walking in the park and noticed the little baseball field...empty during winter.....
I love the colour of this and you can use your imagination to what you think it is...
London's riverside is so pretty.
LOVELY.
This is the one I like best from last week. My husband chose this shot as I had taken countless pictures that day and had a hard time chosing myself.
It's a bit blurry but I was so excited just to get a real flake!
I finally got a nice moon shot:) though the branch on the left side irked me at first...I think it gives it a bit of Character.
Like the ice, against the blue sky on this one....
This one wasn't a very hard choice for me, given these two adorable kids are my kids. I LOVE everything about this photo, the vintage look, the colors, the story it tells.
My first time trying something like this.. and I suppose it turned out okay.
Might not be the BEST for the week but it's my fave
I had a pretty ~meh~ week of pictures, with college starting up again. Hope I can keep up with this during the semester!
Slow week
I like this one of my baby girl, although I was a little unnerved at how it seems to show a hint of the teenager she's going to be one day. (She's only 17 months old right now.)
This is a baby Major Mitchell Cockatoo which we are hand rearing. I thought it would be nice to post a photo each week or two, until he has grown into the gorgeous bird that he will become.
Taken January 22 - my husband brought me flowers for no reason.
I had a few photos this week that I really enjoyed, but this turned out really well! Yes, a bit overdone, but I was proud of myself for being able to capture it!
I felt like being creative... and couldn't find chalk. (:
I like the colorful berries against the b&w background
Taken on 21st January.
I can't decide between these 2 of mine...
or
this one is my fav :) but I really love my falling acorn pic too
Not one of my better weeks... but this is MY favorite of the mess.
