Please give the EOTB (Eye Of The Beholder) challenge a shot ;-)

February 26th, 2018
Hi everybody,

Thank you for giving me the honor of being your next host of a fresh EOTB challenge! The challenge that I like so much and that changed my view of looking at 'ordinary', daily life things: using newly opened, different eyes, sensible to the 'extra ordinarily' that's hidden in 'the ordinary or even unatractive things'!

Thanks so much to Debbie @deborah63 for hosting the last round of Eye Of The Beholder challenge :-)

Now it’s time to continue the search for unconventional beauty in EOTB93.

If you're not sure what this challenge is all about, here is a description:

In the words of Jeff Walker, the creator of this challenge: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" (quoting Margaret Wolfe Hungerford who is credited with coining the phrase in 1878).

Your objective in this challenge is to catch something most people would not consider to be beautiful, and find a way to capture it so that it comes across beautifully. You can achieve it any way you wish. This challenge will help you with your composition and lighting skills. The way you compose the shot or the way you use light will usually bring out the beauty of your subject. It will also help you look at your surroundings differently. Everything is potentially a beautiful pic. It is not a matter of finding something to photograph, but finding a way to photograph something that makes photographing it worthwhile.

There is no specific item or theme for this challenge, but the subject you photograph has to be something that, if people were watching you taking the shot, they would be wondering what on earth has possessed you to photograph something which seems so ordinarily, plain, bland, boring, ugly, etc.
Beauty is all around. You just have to reprogramm your brains and your eyes accordingly to be able to see the extra ordinarily in the ordinary.

EOTB93 starts now, Monday 26st of February, and will be opened for your creative eyes and shots till 24.00 hours of March 11th (use your own time zone). All your entries must be taken and posted during this two weeks periode.
I'll select some finalists asap and ask you to vote for your favorite soon after that. The photographer with the most votes has the honor to host the next EOTB.

TAG is EOTB93
It's not an ETSOOI challenge so a bit of editing is okay, but please don't overdo it.
Please, also share your pics to this thread to give others inspiration and keep it visible in this joyful jungle of challenges;-)

I'm extra ordinarily interested and curious to see what you'll come up with!
Have fun :-)

@pistache recommended I post this to this challenge! It is a bare tree reflected in a big water puddle on my neighborhood street.

I had to wait until I did the closing up shift at work when I was on my own to avoid those 'what in the world are you taking a photo of that for?' questions. This window in the wash room catches my eye every day for so many random reasons and it appeals to the eye of this beholder!
