I was pleasantly surprised to squeak out the win in the last challenge so thanks to everyone that voted and all of those who entered! It's always interesting to see what other people come up with. Thank you also to @roseikerr for organizing the last Composite Challenge. It certainly was a close call this round and I'd be remiss if I didn't give mad props to @pistache who kept the voting interesting! Your composite was truly a sweet one!
So I now have the daunting task of trying to come up with a theme for the next challenge. So after mulling over some ideas, I’ve come to a decision: Our new composite theme is "fantasy” Fairies? Dragons? You walking on the moon? "Fabio giving you a back massage?" Whatever your interpretation of fantasy is, let’s see it!
Start of the challenge: April 9, 2019
Finish of the challenge: May 10, 2019
Tag for the challenge: Composite16
A composite photograph is one that is made up of several photographs or pieces of photographs which have been merged or layered together. It can also include textures and effects that have been applied to the picture as well. Composite photography gives you a lot of room for creativity and ingenuity as you manufacture photos composed of elements that might not necessarily be found together in reality but somehow they seem completely at home with one another in the picture.
For our composite challenge here on 365 you must use at least one picture that is completely yours but you can blend in other images, such as stock images, if you so choose. Just keep in mind that should you use an image that is not yours it should be licensed as free to use for any purpose.
You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish - the more the merrier! However, to allow me to showcase the work of as many 365ers as possible, only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.
Composite themes so far:
# 1 love
# 2 moon
# 3 shoes, sandals and feet
# 4 fruit and vegetable
# 5 animals
# 6 big and small / huge and tiny
# 7 place and space
# 8 it's just my imagination
# 9 Water
# 10 Surrealism
# 11 Darkness
# 12 Just priceless
#13 Birds
#14 A Strange Encounter
#15 Sweet
#16 Fantasy – current theme
And lastly – it would be great if you could post some of your images to this post as well as the tag page. It will give us inspiration and it will keep the thread alive.
ha many congrats dawn louise with your lovely elephant! i've never heard the phrase mad props before, so i enjoyed googling it, and i've learned something new ;) great theme and i look forward to entering
@not_left_handed - mad props - so you're probably not too old to use mad props as my young nephews and nieces would use this phrase especially when they get a nice gift from tante (me) - "$100 dollars! wow, mad props, tante!"
