2015 August 20: Having some extra time today, I stopped by the Duck Pond planning on having a quick snack while I enjoyed the beautiful scenery. As soon as I arrived, every duck on the grounds quickly waddled over -- jostling each other in their attempt to see if I had brought any food to share with them!
There were a good many young Mallards among the gathering flock ...I thought that these two co-conspirators must be a mother and her child.
@olivetreeann Ann, it was rather funny to watch them realize that I didn't bring any food for them! They looked at me with complete unbelief and dejection, and then went back to eating grass seed ...until a few minutes later when someone else drove up and they all ran over there as fast as their little legs could carry them!
