2015 September 9: In the back corner of our yard, we have steadily worked each year to create a shade garden ...It is framed by several tall trees: Sugar Maple, Silver Maple, Redbud, River birch, and a Tulip Magnolia. For undergrowth we have a couple of English dogwoods, with plans to add native ferns and a row of hydrangeas in the near future.
As autumn approaches, I always place some seating in the center clearing. This is a wonderful place to sit and read and watch for migrating birds!
