Easter Sunday Dogwood Blossoms

2016.03.27: In my region, dogwoods usually bloom around Easter/Resurrection Sunday. I have been watching ours all week hoping that they would be open for the occasion, but until today the blossoms had remained tightly closed.

Much to my delight, when I walked outdoors during a break between today's rains, I found that our dogwood blossoms had indeed opened in celebration of this wonderful Easter Sunday.
