2017.10.05 Thursday: Shortly before moonrise, I set up my tripod and camera at the highest vantage point that I could find at my house ...my deck. Darkness fell, and I enjoyed the cool breeze wafting as I waited for the moon to rise.
Low dark lingering clouds floated above the horizon; I hoped that they would part and not obscure my view of this highly-anticipated sight.
The moon rise began as a brilliant light illuminating the sky behind the distant trees and mountain ...It looked rather like sunrise! The moon then gloriously appeared, majestically rising behind the trees, mountain, and clouds.
As it rose higher and higher in the sky, I began snapping as fast as I could ...hoping that at least some of the pics would come out clear.
This is a time-lapse of my view of this year's rising Harvest Moon ...I am glad that I got to see it!
