This is a California scrub jay. Not as glamourous as the blue jay you have in other parts of North America, but quite beautiful in his own right.

@bmiller03 Cool! I just looked it up. Yours is very handsome too! According to Wikipedia: It is the only species of bird endemic to the U.S. state of Florida and one of only 15 species endemic to the continental United States. Because of this, it is keenly sought by birders.
