This is an external devotion demonstrated during the 40 days of preparation for Easter seen on some balconies in Malta. I liked how the purple cloth, signifying sacrifice and sorrow, was flapping in the wind uncovering part of the balustrade turned in Maltese stone which you rarely see today in our "modern" architecture.
What a nice one to share with the rest of the world during this Lenten season

I really like the rich colors in this shot. And I actually like the movement the wind caused as well.
