Lest we forget 399

I received my first shot against the Covid-19 today and I thank God for all the professionals who have been working tirelessly for the past year that we will one day very soon overcome this pandemic.
One of the villages in Gozo put up hundreds of wooden crosses in front of their church to remember all who succumbed to the virus. Our death toll since the outbreak stood at 399 today.

@jakb @milaniet @taffy @777margo @bkbinthecity Thanks for your comments. The numbers are high when compared to the population. One year ago we were doing fine until the restrictions were relaxed. We faced a second partial lock down when we had more than 500 new infections in one day. Now that the numbers have dwindled to 50-60 the authorities are facing pressure to loosen some of the containment measures. We hope that last year's mistake will not be repeated.
