Sitting quietly

There was just a slight breeze every now and then (greenish area of the sea) on an otherwise calm sea. Went down to Gnejna Bay with my granddaughter for a few minutes before her online lessons. The cliffs in the background are from the sister island Gozo.
Do you have any comments about the composition of this shot. Could it have been improved in any way? Thanks for visiting.

It's a nice shot. As for the composition, I would have cropped in just a little bit more from the top and right but not much and I would have cloned out the buoys. I find them distracting and they break up the nice visual line that you have going from the skiff to the sailboat. They make the eye go zig-zag instead of straight to the boat, which to me breaks the strength of that leading line.

i think your composition is very good. i disagree with ann about cropping the top more, as it would look awkward with just a tiny sky. if at all, i would have shot it so that there is a bit more space in the bottom part to give the boat more space. i do agree, though, about the buoys, they do distract the eye.

there used to be a lady in gozo who was on 365. i can't seem to recall her name.
