Red coat

Crowds, crowds, a 365er, crowds and crowds. Covid? What's that!
Today Malta celebrated the 47th year as a Republic. City Gate, just outside Valletta was flooded with people visiting the Fairyland Christmas village. The government had ordered that as from the 11th of December, masks were obligatory in public places even when walking alone. Hope we do not get a surge of cases after the holidays are over.
I roamed around City Gate trying to find empty spaces while shooting some night photos and capturing the festive atmosphere. Managed a couple of long exposures in an area where it was not crowded. While walking around the Triton Fountain I spotted the woman in red. I liked how her coat was lighted even though it is overwhelmed by the reindeer.
I like the photo and the accompanying narrative. After the long lockdowns here in Melbourne, I still find crowds daunting.

Great shot, nice reflection. Really need the lady in the red dress in the picture.

Well captured - I wish we had mask mandates here in the US...don't get me started (LOL) I plan to avoid crowds forever.
