This is a close-up of a hand of one of the merman in the Tritons Fountain just outside City Gate in Valletta. The fountain consists of three bronze figures holding a large basin and is one of Malta's most important modernist landmarks. It was designed and constructed between 1952 and 1959 and restored in 2017.
