All's ready for Christmas day's after-lunch "find the key to the treasure chest quest!". During Covid days I used to create treasure hunts for my grand daughter and since the first one she has reminded me frequently of the "treasure chest" that I have on the roof and when will the quest begin to open the box. For this Christmas I will have three girls and two boys looking for clues and trying to solve puzzles that I have set up around the house so they can find the key that unlocks the chest. The above are the first two clues and puzzles that they have to solve. Ideas came from "Escape rooms for kids" from the Web. The coloured traingles have been partially hidden in the dinning room while the coloured spots are the first puzzle and are on the floor in one corner of the hall way. Hopefully these will pique their curiosity.
