In our area there are a lot of Magnolia trees and they are just starting to come out. They have lovely furry flower buds and look spectacular for a brief couple of weeks and then to be honest they don't look very impressive for the other 11.5 month of the year!
Lovely the way the backlighting illuminates the fuzz on the buds here. They are so spectacular while they are blooming that I can forgive them their non-spectacular looks for the rest of the year--but then I have no garden to maintain.
