22nd March 2016

At last, the day has arrived for us to hang my photo clubs annual exhibition at the Landmark Centre. I am pleased with the look of my panel featuring some of my early morning photographs of the Thames at Teddington but I will wait until the Private View to show what it looks like as the light was quite bright today. I do like our exhibition as everyone has the opportunity to show whatever work they wish and it often seems a lot more creative than the images that people submit to please the judges in each months photo competition!

These lovely flowers are at the new florist in Teddington - Gardenia - in the High Street which I walked past on my way home. They look very spring like and the weather is sunny and very mild so it feels like Spring as well!
Beautiful assortment of flowers, which really seem to breathe spring. Interesting what you say about creativity and camera club judges. I joined a camera club last September, and to my surprise, have won a couple of competitions in the novice division, which is where they put me to start. When I take photographs now, I take some that are potentially for the club competitions and a lot that aren't. I hope to manage to learn from the rules but not destroy my creativity (if any) in the process.
