This is an unusual shot! We are hoping to visit churchyards down in Somerset to find 17th century graves of Colin’s ancestors. Often the graves are weathered by time and pollution and it is very difficult to read them. We read about this method of placing tin foil over a grave and gently rubbing over the top with sponges.

Although it takes some time, it is very effective once photographed and does not harm the gravestone in any way. This grave was for Lieutenant Colonel Cocker - formerly of the 36th Regiment who died on August 5th 1865.
That's wonderful!
