26th January 2019

Despite the cold I did my usual park run in Bushy Park and managed the whole distance jogging with no slow downs. No PB but at least I managed it. This suddenly did not seem important as I passed a man who had collapsed during the park run near Teddington Gate. There were three paramedic vans and he was being given CPR. As I walked out of the park a bigger ambulance was pulling in. Things did not look good for him and I felt so sorry. I was really happy to read on Twitter later on that he has actually survived which would have been totally thanks to the volunteers and paramedics working on him and he was sat up and talking in hospital. That kind of puts everything back into perspective really.

One my return we watched this inept pair or ‘work men’ balancing precariously on a ladder whilst trimming our neighbours hedge. They did ask if we needed anything doing but we declined the offer!
