I could not find my sunglasses anywhere this morning as it was quite bright despite only being about 4 degrees. I generally felt quite rubbish but despite that I set off for the Park Run. However my shoulder seems to have a trapped never and every pace made it hurt. By the time I finally reached Colin who normally cycles to Bushy Park I had already decided I was not feeling good enough and was certainly not in the right frame of mind to run 5kms!
I collected the keys, turned about heel and set off home again, desperate to make it out of the park before the elite runners who achieve the distance in 15 minutes or less, passed me at Teddington Gate. I just made it and despite my negativity, I couldn’t help but admire Chestnut Avenue as the trees have come into leaf.
