First things first and with no breakfast I headed to ‘Fat Fighters’ and found that I had lost 3 pounds since last week. After that I rushed back home to actually have my breakfast and afterwards we headed off on our journey down to Kent as Colin was scheduled to have some laser treatment on his eye following his second cataract operation. We stopped again for lunch in our usual bakery in the little town of Cranbrook and then headed over to the hospital. I spotted this brilliant rainbow car was parked in Cranbrook as we walked back to the car park. It actually only took about two minutes for the laser treatment and then we relaxed around the waiting area killing a further hour before we got ready for the evenings events!
A number of months ago we had got Karen a murder mystery event on the Bluebell Railway and we got tickets for all of the family. We got there early on a perfect summers evening which gave us a chance to look around the original station. A number of the other participants arrived in either fancy dress or evening dress which made the whole evening very special. The murder mystery was so well done and the five or six actors remained in character during our railway trip when we had a delicious three course meal and were able to cross examine them to try and work out who had committed the murder. Although our team worked out the correct answer unfortunately we did not win but it was a great evening and everyone had a really good time.
We did not actually leave Sheffield Park station until well past 11:30 at night. This is the first time that we have had the opportunity to test the headlights on our new car and oh my goodness what a difference! Basically it was like driving in the sunlight with full beams on and it was such a relief after a number of years of very weak headlights - We eventually got to bed at about 1:45 am quite shattered but a great day!
