Today we headed down to Mums to celebrate her birthday with her but not until later in the day as Colin was out to lunch with his old weight lifting friends up in town first. I worked hard finishing packing and knocking up a lemon birthday cake.
We eventually set off by 4.30pm and for once the journey was straight forward although the A30 was closed in two places so we had to take ‘interesting’ detours in the dark. I managed the drive for 3 hours all the way to Exeter and Colin took the second stretch.
We even found parking almost directly outside of Mums and were settled with a cup of tea before 11.30!
