In an attempt to get myself into a Christmassy state I had booked a ticket to the Country Living Christmas fair at the Business Design Centre in Islington. I thought the tickets were pretty steep at over twenty pounds a ticket but I have joined the Groupon website and got one for over eight pounds less.
The show was good but it was a little lonely as for the past few years Mum and Ian have come as well which makes it more fun. However, today is the day that Mum starts her radiotherapy so she couldn’t come. Whether it was because of being on my own or worrying about Christmas, although enjoyable it did not seem quite as good as past years. I did manage to get a few presents though so I do feel that I have officially started my Christmas shopping.
I did take a photo of the Christmas tree at the show but in a cardinal sin, I cropped the top off and so this is a tube poster which reminded me of the phrase we used to hear on the New York subway!
