This is the fast flowing Thames at Richmond this morning as I arrived slightly early by bus for my dental check-up. Unfortunately it was not such a positive experience as my hygienist appointment last week. Normally I get on well with my dentist but this time she seemed annoyed that I am not using their in-house hygienist and despite me explaining that I’d seen the hygienist last week, she said she thought it was really bad and looked like I hadn’t seen one for 6-months. We ended at a stalemate as I explained that at almost 52 years old I have not lost any teeth yet due to decay or bad dental hygiene and I cannot afford the £120 she suggested it would cost to have two sessions with their in house person including anaesthesia! I was really cross.
I was going to deliver Jenny’s photos immediately after the dentist but in the event I went home first for a cup of tea first to recover and calm down. Then I drove over and dropped off the USBs to Mick. Later in the afternoon I caught up with Julia to discuss a possible new card venture which is interesting but very early days. I also ordered some 12 x 18” prints which I hope he may be able to make a window display with.
Positive: The possibility of a new work venture in the future.
