Storm Dennis has hit and the rain was hammering down last night to the extent that I could feel it coming through the window and had to get up in the early hours to close it.
We had a lie in and it continued to rain for most of the day! It rained for so hard that our new windows have started leaking (luckily they have a ten year guarantee) and apparently the gutter is also blocked again so Jamie is going to unblock it on Tuesday afternoon using our ladders.
We made it out during a brief dry spell to see how high the river was. Despite it being another four hours to high tide, the tide looked like it was already high. It was nice to get a breath of fresh air.
