4th March 2020

We walked along the river to Kingston today for our exercise and so that I could buy some bits and bobs for both Hester’s birthday which is on the 12th of the month and Mothers’ Day as I intend to send Mum’s parcels before we set of for the Lake District and north Yorkshire next week. I got some really nice shell wrapping paper and humming bird paper from Paperchase and discovered that the parents of the woman serving me also live in there tiny hamlet of Combpyne where our friend David lives - small world.

This is a rather grey view of the river and it dhows how much rain we have had over the past few weeks as it is running very high and this is the stretch that is non tidal as well .
