26th December 2021

1 year, 267 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Happy Boxing Day.

After the fun and games of last night we had a lie in but will still the first up after Karen who had to let the dogs out! Later in the mounting when everyone was up we drove to Limpsfield Chart woods, opened by the National Trust for a dog walk.

We have not been here before and the trees are stunning in the winter. The woods are mainly beech, silver birch, sweet chestnut and oak and they were accentuated in a damp mist. It was difficult to choose just one tree photo so here is all of Colin’s family with Koby and Luna the dogs.

In the afternoon after lunch we finally exchanged presents and my shower gel collection has increased and Colin and I have been given a voucher for a 2-day break either in the UK or Europe.

We had a buffet dinner followed by games in the dining room. I did pretty well but did not win any games! I was a tad worried as we were 8 people from 4 families and the room did not have any ventilation. I’ll know when I caught Covid if I’m unlucky so hoping the Booster does its thing and everyone is keeping well!
