Cold but sunny this morning which is a pleasant change from the recent dark damp days.
This morning I braved going into Waterstones to see how sales have been over Christmas and to take out any unsold Christmas cards and rearrange the spinner. I was really pleased to find just 60 cards left out of 393 so a total of 333 sold!
No later flow test kits to be had anywhere in Teddington so I will have to order new supplies online. I also got to meet the lovely ‘Barney’ - a ‘Cockerpoo’ sort of dog that a woman in the Post office had tied up outside. She was very worried that he could be stolen so once I had bought the brown paper I need to post parcels, I promised I would wait with him outside to check he was safe. He is a lovely dog and got lot of attention from other dog walkers and passersby.
In the afternoon we went for a walk in Bushy Park and I took my camera. We were lucky to get a great view of a little Egret in a tree right next to a grey heron for a good size comparison. The light was beautiful although it got pretty cold as soon as the sun started setting. We treated ourselves to a hot chocolate in the Pheasantry cafe.
After we had warmed up when we got home, I made up the spare room bed for our arrivals tomorrow and also baked the base for my lemon fan soI have less to do tomorrow morning. A rather productive day.
