Sadly Mum and Ian left today for the long drive back to Cornwall. They set off around 10.00ish and soon after they had left I set off up town as I had got tickets for the Country Living Christmas fair. The original plan was that my friend Sarah should come as well but due to a family crisis it was just me on my own. I stopped at a Waitrose and bought myself some lunch as past experience has taught me that the prices are astronomical for not much in the show itself.
This year I did not think the show was as good as past years. A number of regular stalls were not there which was a disappointment although I still managed to get a few presents including a felting kit to make guinea pigs for Isabelle to match to her two - Bob and Doug.
I found a nice seat in the foyer for lunch and sat opposite a Welsh lady called Lorraine and we had a really good chat for half an hour or so - she was a lovely lady and I wish I had given her my contact details.
It was a nice day despite the lack of stalls and I did manage a few food samples as well.
