Today I had a day off from visiting the Landmark Centre which was a big relief! I spent some time looking at our Germany trip again which all of a sudden is just over two weeks away. I still had to send some emails about the exhibit though.
A bit later in the day we decided to get a breath of fresh air and to look for a gravestone that had been photographed by a friend of a ‘Thomas Durnford’ and we are wondering if it could be a relative of Colin’s or just a coincidence of someone who lived locally with the same surname.
We walked onto the Lock to see the renovations of the footbridge and also to walk onto Lock Island to watch when of the large boats come through the long lock. This is the view looking upstream in he direction of Kingston. It was a lovely day but actually quite chilly, especially compared to a week or so ago on our anniversary which it was so warm I could walk around in a T-shirt and no jacket.
