Another trip to Richmond to try and capture some more images for cards today.
After a grey start to the day the sun came out later in the afternoon. I had checked the boat time tables and with some precarious balancing on the bridge parapet I managed to catch the 'Richmond Royale' on its return journey to Kingston.
The clouds were much nicer than last week and using the polariser helped as well - just a bit of cloning to remove a chap on his mobile and the end of a single decker bus off of the bridge!!
Beautiful with the red boat in the foreground. Love the way the bridge leads us to the buildings. I can just see you leaning over. What we do for a photo - and the waiting for the right time. What is the Richmond Royal? I haven't used a polarizer. Do you use them much? I have been reading they are great for scenery to get the sky deepened or when there is a contrast between the sky and land.
Beautiful, beautiful composition, lighting, and pov, I especially like seeing the bridge from this angle. Glad you didn`t fall in as you balanced precariously on that parapet. We do go to some lengths to get our pictures, don`t we? Fav for me.
Wonderful picture. I have put this picture on a pinterest board with your name and 365 on it. It is a board about Richmond and ham and has a lot of my photos over 20 years of living here. I hope this is alright with you. I work in a school locally and we use Pinterest to inspire the kids. If you want me to add or delete anything please let me know. I love your work. Fav. Do let me know of any other Richmond photographers. Let me know if you would like the link. Lovely picture. Follow.
