15th June 2013

This is the other side of the bridge that featured in yesterdays photograph, taken about 12-hours later!

I am adding to my range of greeting cards with images taken around Richmond. With a previous 'reccie' I knew the exact spots I needed to be in, I watched the weather forecasts, checked the tide tables, set the alarm and was in the centre of Richmond by 6.45am!!

Oh dear, I guess I had not allowed for a large tree casting a shadow on the bridge until 8.00am and whereas the sky was beautiful at 6.45 (a few fluffy 'photographers' clouds) - just as the sun lit up the bridge the sky clouded over. I have tried to 'lift' the shadows on the bridge but I think another early start is in order... oh dear, I'm really more into sunsets than sunrises... I'm definitely more of an 'owl' than a 'lark'.
What a lovely looking summer's day/ Lovely shot.

Te sun and shadows make the beautiful scene more natural and interesting!

I like the deep blue of the river set against the green bank. Good time for reflections. Love hearing how you went about getting the shot.

I like it. Is this a 6.45 shot or an 8.00? the sky looks fine so I assume its nearer 6,45. I like the different lighting levels the sunny side and the shadows.

I do like this shot as it is, with both light and shadow on the bridge. And I like the blue, deeper and lighter, of the water and the sky, and the fact that it`s not so turquoisey as it often is in photographs--just a perfect and lovely blue.

Like how the boats are in the shot. Quite the lovely shot.
