Here is the next image in my record of the Walnut tree in our back garden over the year.
The first image below back in January shows the shape of the tree -

in April the leaves had just started budding (quite late this year)

and then in May the leaves were bright red

The tree is in full glory now and absolutely laden with green walnuts. Will we get to eat any? Very unlikely... in past years our resident grey squirrels have nibbled off every single walnut so no reason to expect any different this year!!
