11th September 2013

A very early start today (before sunrise) for our first full day in Yellowstone National Park. We had been told that the wildlife tends to be a lot more visible at sunrise and we had the prospect of seeing buffalo, moose, wolves, bears and elk... we saw three Buffalo in total!

However, the light was amazing and because of the many thermal features heating the river water there was a low mist hanging above the river and some quite thick fog on the road. This is the Yellowstone River at sunrise but sadly with none of the animals above.
Emma, I love everything about this, it`s gorgeous with the fog and mist and the light on the water at the front, fav for me! Hope you are having a great time.

Gorgeous. Too bad the critters were not cooperating! But still, three buffalo, don't see those every day.
