My husband and I visited the town where I grew up, Summit, New Jersey. I hadn't been back in years, as all my family has moved elsewhere. I remember how great is was to grow up here, but I was blown away by how beautifully maintained it is today.
This building was called the New Hampshire House when I lived there. I never knew we had an opera house...
Beautiful architecture ... again, a fabulous pov! I love my hometown too ...when I grew up and now when I visit. It's been kept up beautifully! But don't know if I would want to go back and live there again.
@karenann I felt exactly the same way! Summit was so elegant that I'm not sure I'd belong there any more. I have always appreciated growing up there, and it looks like it's still a great place for families. But part of what I liked growing up was the diversity, and now it seems more...exclusive. Maybe I'm wrong.
