The Hollywood riverboat casino is located close to the Louisiana State Capitol (the tall building on the left) and our former governor Edwin Edwards was convicted of racketeering. We grumble about Louisiana politics, but the state government is still open....
Local wonders challenge: local tourist trap (the casino, not the capitol!)
A great picture and a narrative that asks so many questions. People wonder why voting figures are so low (in the UK at least) and then we look at our politicians and we know why. Very well composed.
Had to smile- when the casinos were introduced to Atlantic City in NJ the politicians swore up and down that the revenue would benefit the elderly in gov't housing and other such things. Well...promises, like rules, in the political world are always made to be broken. Good shot.
