Franklin's bad day is about to get better

Our neighbor Rick found this turtle in his front yard, heading for the road. We imagine it came from the little bayou behind our houses, which is probably almost dry right now. Rick loaded the turtle into a wheelbarrow and took it safely across the street onto the golf course. As they neared the pond, the turtle sensed that water was near, practically jumped from the wheelbarrow into the pond and swam away. Safe again!
Great shot and story

What a fabulous story. What an amazing picture too. I have never seen a turtle's nose protrude so far!
