Shotgun House

Of all the historic houses in Louisiana, this simple shotgun house is one of my favorites. I've taken many other photos of it and even used it on a Christmas card. I love its simplicity. Some of the new "small houses" remind me of this, but we are so wedded to our stuff that I don't know how many of us could live this simply.

@allie912 I understand! Some things mean so much--gifts, things our kids made. It's hard to let go.

I also have a difficult time of what to discard. my grandchildren are adults and I still savour their paper drawings they might not even remember if they see them.
